One Long Lonely but Eventually Inspiring Week of Suspension of Classes
written on Monday, August 20, 2012 @ 9:20 AM ✈

When you're a consistent student and you've got a week of class suspension, the first thing that you'll do is review the lessons. (Especially when the prelims are coming up after the week) But then again, I am not that consistent. I lost all my intellectual ambitions and "over-achiever pride" after high school graduation. It somehow loosens me. I don't want to expect something big anymore. But anyways, back to the suspension thingy. I knew the week after this would be a disastrous and terrible week due to the prelims but hey beginner's idea - I NEED TO BE INSPIRED FIRST BEFORE I COULD STUDY INTUITIVELY. And since I was bored, I decided to download movies to kill the time. It was Wednesday back then when the school announced that classes are to resume next Monday. Oh well, I have four days on my own since my brother and uncle went home to Bohol and I had just to live independently- sort of until Bro #1 comes back next next week. I looked to my Videos and then discovered I had only 3 Disney Princesses movies that I had actually copied from my big bro. (Yes, he still watches those because he cherishes his childhood wherein the three of us - me, big bro and other big bro would lay on the bed of my uncle's room watching those Disney movies in a built-in VHS player TV. Good times, good times.) First, I downloaded Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs because I realized I hadn't completely watched the movie. Then Sleeping Beauty and The Little Mermaid 1 & 2, Mulan 1 & 2,  Aladdin etceteraaaa etceteraaaa. I just realized I have all the princesses package and suddenly I felt like I'm 6 years old again. (Silly, isn't it?) Dude, I still cried when Ariel was finally granted her legs and get to marry Prince Eric (and start the 'happy ever after' drama). I still laughed when Mushu's repeatedly smacked by the horse. I still giggled on Sebastian's hilarious expressions. (He reminds me so much of Mr. Moseby.) And I still go gaga over Prince Phillip and Princess Aurora's Once upon a Dream as well as Aladdin and Princess Jasmine's A Whole New World. (Talk about plain romantic.) Things usually an ever-dreaming child could only wonder, but then again I'm 16. I'm still young-though not a child anymore. It's great to watch these things all over again. They remind me so much of womanhood and how I badly wanted to grow up when I was a kid. Stupid me, I should have realized how wonderful it is to stay young forever.
